It has been 40 years of innovation since DNV Rules for Offshore Pipelines was first issued. The standard provides acceptance criteria and design procedures for submarine pipeline systems with 65% of all new projects globally now designed to it. Supporting the industry with R&D, DNV GL believes that innovation is key and greater collaboration and harmonisation is needed to develop new technical solutions.
Themed, “New Needs – New Ways”, the forum will address these key points:-
i. Is there room for innovation in today’s situation?
ii. Innovation – a cost or an opportunity?
iii. What will the needs be when the market improves?
The forum will also include presentations by leading industry leaders, group work sessions and panel discussions covering the following topics:-

• Industry collaboration and standardization
